Jenny sold Serene Nail Bar on Scottsdale Rd and Oak in June 2025. After the sale, she decided to rebrand her entire business. Serene Life Spa remain in its original location and is now called Spa Hous. Jenny also acquired two nail bars - one in Scottsdale, which will again be called Serene Nail Bar (third time's a charm) and one in Gilbert that will be called Glossi Nail Bar! Serene Society remains as Jenny's original vision to offer a community of quality and affordable wellness and beauty services. Though there are currently two nail bars and one spa under Serene Society, she plans to add more across Arizona, and hey, maybe even add a few of locations across the US! Because, why not?

Now let's answer the question that's on everyone's mind - yes, the tree is still around. It's at Spa Hous!

Jenny describes herself as a moderately laid back, kind of a perfectionist, but somewhat all over the place small-town girl with big dreams. She moved to Arizona from Nebraska with her mom and siblings in 2004 and although she now calls the desert home, she will always be a midwest girl at heart!

Growing up, she dreamt of becoming a fashion designer. She received a full-ride scholarship to fashion school, but in an unexpected turn of event decided to ditch that dream and ventured into the beauty and wellness industry.

After working for a few nail salons and spas, Jenny took a leap of faith and rented a room inside of a beauty salon in an attempt to start her own business. She was in her early 20's and not in the best financial situation. Let's be honest, she was broke! But she needed supplies, furniture, and decor, so she headed down to the good old neighborhood Goodwill. There, she spotted the tree! It was exactly what she was looking for and she thought to herself, "I would have never been able to afford this at full price!" She excitedly brought it back to her suite and placed it in the perfect spot. 

From there, she went on to open Serene Life Spa in 2015 and Serene Nail Bar in 2020. One year later the Marriott (yes, that Marriott) purchased the building the nail bar was located in, so she was forced to relocate. Ironically, the suite next to her spa became available, so she moved the nail bar right next door! In 2022, the businesses were combined and became one half of Serene Society.

Both businesses has evolve and gone through changes throughout the years, but one thing remains the same, the tree! It is still sitting at the spa today and it is a reminder of where Jenny came from, and how important it is to stay humble.

Jenny retired from doing services after she became pregnant with baby Saint. What's funny is she has come out of retirement at least a dozen times, but she says this industry is one that keeps sucking you back in! When she's not at work, she likes to spend time with her son (of course), travel, try different restaurants, and graphic design! (Did we mention Jenny designs all of her websites, service menus, giftcards, , etc?)
